Two big new features land on Dispatch.IO: automations, to make the bot do exactly what you want, and the trap channel, a new anti-raid protection against spam bots.
⚙️ Automations
"When this happens, if this condition is true, then do that." Automations let you program the bot without writing a single line of code: everything is built by linking blocks in a diagram, right from the dashboard.
A few things you can do:
- give the Member role 10 minutes after someone joins, only if their account is older than 7 days;
- send a welcome DM, with three versions picked at random;
- post a reminder every Friday at 6 pm;
- create your own
/rulescommand; - add 👍 and 👎 under every message in the suggestions channel;
- build a points system with its own commands.
The blocks
| Block | What it does | Available |
|---|---|---|
| Trigger | What starts the automation: a member joins, a message is sent, a reaction, a voice channel, a scheduled time, a command, a level reached, a raid detected… | 36 |
| Condition | A question with a Yes and a No output: has a role, account age, the text contains a word, time range, random… | 14 |
| Action | What the bot does: send a message or a banner, give a role, react, create a thread, time out, wait, give XP, change a variable… | 30 |
The Random branches block also picks one output out of 2 to 5, based on weights.
Everything that comes with it
- Custom commands: create your own slash commands, with their options and permissions.
- Buttons and menus: up to 5 buttons or one select menu per message, each one starting an automation.
- Variables: counters and values your automations remember, per member or for the server.
- Templates: about twenty ready-made automations to get started in one click.
- Test: as a simulation (the bot describes what it would have done) or for real. The path taken lights up on the diagram.
- History and versions: every run of the last 14 days, with the error explained in plain words, and the last 15 versions of each automation.
- Sharing: export an automation to a file, import it elsewhere or copy it straight to another of your servers.
- On mobile: the editor switches to a list view.
Safeguards keep everything in check: bots are ignored by default, loops are impossible, the bot never gives a moderation role and never sanctions the server owner. An automation that fails 10 times in a row is paused, and you are notified on the website.
| Free | Basic | Ultimate | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Automations | 2 | 5 | 10 |
| Custom commands | 2 | 5 | 10 |
Every feature is available on every plan: only the number changes.
Where to find them: your server's dashboard › Automation group of the left menu.

🍯 The trap channel (Honeypot)
Spam bots and hacked accounts send their messages to every channel. The trap channel takes advantage of that: it is a channel no real member has any reason to write in. As soon as an account writes in it, the bot sanctions it.
Setting it up
- Turn on the anti-raid, then the Honeypot (trap channel) protection: Anti-Raid page of the dashboard (Messages group), or
/config→ Antiraid on Discord. - Pick a channel, or click Create the channel: the bot creates
#honeypotat the very top of the server. - Pick the sanction.
The bot posts a warning message in the channel with a counter of accounts caught, updated live and also shown on the website.
| Sanction | Effect |
|---|---|
| Softban (default) | The account leaves the server and its messages from the last hour are deleted. It can come back with an invite. |
| Kick | The account leaves the server. |
| Ban | Permanent ban, messages from the last hour deleted. |
| Timeout | 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days without being able to write or speak. |
When an account gets caught, its message is deleted, it is warned by DM, the sanction is recorded in its infractions and a log is posted in your raid logs channel.
The owner, administrators and the whitelist are never sanctioned: their messages are only deleted, so the channel stays clean.
Tip
Keep the trap channel at the top of the list and do not hide it: a spam bot only gets caught if it can write in it.
