The Logs settings page controls everything Dispatch.IO posts in your log channels: the channel of each category, a switch for every log, and filters to ignore bots, channels or roles.
It is for administrators. Open it from the Configuration > Logs settings menu, right under Channels. It belongs to the Logs module: if the module is disabled, a banner at the top of the page lets you turn it back on.
Overview of the page

- Figures: Active logs (out of the total number of logs), Channels set (out of 9) and Filtered categories (out of 9).
- Search: "Search a log…" looks in the name and description of each log, and opens the categories on the results.
- One card per category: Server, Messages, Members & profiles, Voice, Joins, Moderation & sanctions, Anti-raid, Invites and Captcha. The content of each log is detailed in Logs.
Everything is on by default: as long as you switch nothing off, each log is posted as soon as its category's channel is set. New logs added to the bot also start switched on.
Destination channel
At the top of each card, Destination channel: pick a text channel, or click + (Create automatically) so the bot creates a private channel and assigns it at once. Without a channel, the category's logs are not posted (No channel badge).
These channels used to be set on the Channels page: they are now here. On Discord, /config → Channels can still change them.
Switching logs on or off
- The X / Y active badge shows how many logs of the category are posted.
- The Enable all switch turns every log of the category off or back on at once.
- Show the … logs unfolds the list: each log has its name, a short description and its switch. For example, in Messages you can keep deleted messages and switch off edited messages.
A log switched off is not posted at all: it is not queued and does not come back when you switch it on again.
Filters
Each category has its own filters. Anything about a filtered bot, channel or role is not posted in that category:
| Filter | Effect |
|---|---|
| Ignore bots | Actions and messages of bots are not logged. |
| Ignored channels | Nothing is logged for these channels. An ignored channel also ignores its threads. |
| Ignored roles | Members with one of these roles are not logged (message author, member concerned or author of the action). |
For example, ignoring #spam in Messages and the Staff role in Members & profiles does not stop staff sanctions from being posted in Moderation & sanctions.
Warning
Filters also apply to the security categories (Moderation & sanctions, Anti-raid, Captcha). Ignoring a role or bots there hides important actions: think twice before filtering them.
Saving
Click Save changes in the bar at the bottom. "Logs settings saved." confirms it, and the bot applies the changes at once. The change shows up on the Configuration Logs page of the dashboard.
| Message | Cause |
|---|---|
| "Could not save the logs settings." | Saving failed: try again. |
| "You are not allowed to edit this server." | Your account cannot manage this server. |
| "Could not create the channel." | The bot could not create the channel (often the Manage Channels permission). |
