Achievements reward your members' activity: first message, 100 hours in voice, level 50, a one-year streak, a message written at midnight sharp… The catalog holds 191 achievements in 13 categories and 6 rarities. Each unlock is announced with a banner drawn by the bot, can give XP and a role, and every member has a public page with all their achievements.

This page explains the module's rules for administrators and curious members. Settings are on the Achievements page of the dashboard.

Tip

Key points

The module is off by default. Once on, members unlock achievements by being active; what they had already done before is unlocked silently, without a burst of banners.

Turn achievements on

Turn the module on with the Enable achievements switch of the Achievements page, or with the Achievements tile of the modules hub (same setting). Then pick an achievements channel for the banners.

  • Without a channel, achievements are still unlocked, but nothing is posted.
  • Every achievement is on by default. You can switch one off, or a whole category, from the page's catalog.
  • The module needs no Premium plan.

What is counted

The bot counts each member's activity only while the system is on: messages, replies, mentions, files, links, GIFs, stickers, emojis, reactions, threads, voice minutes, screen shares, commands, music tracks, tickets, suggestions, polls, giveaways, bumps, counting…

  • Minutes in the AFK channel do not count.
  • Per message, items are capped: 5 mentions, 10 files, 3 GIFs, 5 links, 3 stickers, 20 emojis. Pasting 100 emojis in a message only counts 20.
  • Times of day (night, morning, midnight, weekend, January 1st) follow the server's time zone.
  • Some data already exists outside achievements and is read directly: level, streak, invites, seniority, boost. This is what the silent catch-up unlocks.

Checks happen along with activity: counters are saved every 5 seconds, level, streak, invites and seniority at most every 6 hours, account achievements at most every 30 minutes and server achievements at most every hour. An achievement can therefore arrive with a short delay.

Bots don't unlock achievements.

The unlock banner

Each unlock is announced with an image only in the achievements channel, with no text and no mention: nobody is notified. Banners are posted in order, one queue per server. There is no direct message.

Alex's “Golden voice” achievement banner with the Café voice role and the See achievements button
A member achievement banner.

The banner shows:

  • the member's avatar and username (the server's icon and name for a server achievement);
  • the type: Achievement unlocked, Account achievement or Server achievement;
  • the medal, name, description and rarity of the achievement;
  • the points (+50 pts), the XP given (+150 XP) and the reward role (Role …) if any;
  • the share of members who have it (12 % of members), or First on the server! for the first one.

Member and account banners have a See achievements button that opens the member's public page. The banner is written in the server's language. Its background follows the order described on the Achievements page: the member's personal background (Premium), the server's picture, the global banner, the welcome image.

Rarities

Each achievement has a rarity, which sets its points (the member's score) and the bonus XP:

RarityPointsDefault XP
Common1025
Uncommon2575
Rare50150
Epic100400
Legendary2501000
Mythic5002500

A member's score is the sum of the points of their member and account achievements.

  • An account achievement is unlocked once per Discord account, valid on every server. It shows on each server where achievements are on.
  • A server achievement is unlocked by the whole server: its banner carries the server's name and icon.

Secret achievements

The 13 achievements of the Secrets category are hidden: on the public page they show as Secret achievement with "Keep exploring to find it…", with no progress. Their name is only revealed when unlocked, on a banner marked Secret achievement.

A few hints without giving everything away: write in the middle of the night, very early in the morning, at midnight sharp or on January 1st, write very long messages, shout in capitals, ask lots of questions, laugh, make a counting mistake… Administrators see the full list in the dashboard catalog.

Rewards

Only member achievements give a reward, when an announced unlock happens:

  • XP: the rarity's amount, or the one set for this achievement (0 to 100,000, 0 = no XP). XP is only given when the XP bonus and the level system are on. It can trigger a level-up, with the usual announcement.
  • Role: the role set for this achievement. The bot never gives a role with moderation or administration rights, nor a role above its own.

Rewards are set on the Achievements page.

The silent catch-up

When the system is turned on, or when a switched-off achievement is switched back on, the bot records the date. Everything a member had already done at that moment is unlocked silently: the achievement shows on their page and counts in their score, but with no banner, no role and no XP.

  • A member's catch-up happens at their first activity after the activation: an inactive member gets it later.
  • Account achievements are caught up once per Discord account.
  • Server achievements are checked as soon as the system is turned on.
  • A member who joins after the activation has nothing to catch up: their achievements are announced normally.

This catch-up prevents a long-active server from receiving hundreds of banners at once.
