Type a keyword: a command, a module, a dashboard page…

Each tutorial builds a complete automation. Most of them also exist as a template (Automations page › Templates): you can start from the template and follow the tutorial to adapt it.

Give a role 10 minutes after joining

Flash raids join and act within seconds: a role given after a delay slows them down.

  1. New automation › trigger A member joins.
  2. + › Wait: 10 minutes.
  3. + › Give a role: choose the Member role (it must be below the bot's role and give no moderation right).
  4. Name it “Role after 10 minutes” and click Create.

Tip

Before the wait, add an Account age › Less than 7 days condition with, on the Yes side, a Send a log action to warn the team about new accounts (New account alert template).

Button verification

New members click a button to get access to the server.

Automation 1 – “Verify” (started by the button)

  1. Trigger Button or menu clicked, Replies visible only to the one who clicks on.
  2. Give a role: Verified.
  3. Reply: “✅ Welcome {user}, you now have access to the server!”.

Automation 2 – “Verification panel”

  1. Trigger Custom command: name verification-panel, Who can use it: Administrators.
  2. Message with buttons: Where to send: trigger channel; message “Click the button to get access to the server”; one green button “✅ Verify me” started towards “Verify”.
  3. Reply: “Panel posted!”.

Type /verification-panel in your welcome channel: the panel is posted. See Buttons and menus.

“In voice” role

Two very simple automations:

AutomationTriggerAction
Voice roleJoins voice (empty channels = all)Give a role: In voice
Role removedLeaves voiceRemove a role: In voice

A member who moves from one voice channel to another triggers Moves in voice, not the two others: so they keep their role.

Scheduled reminders

  1. Trigger Scheduled: Every week, Friday, 20:00, timezone Europe/Paris, Default channel: #announcements.
  2. Send a message: Where to send: trigger channel; an embed “🎮 Game night tonight!”.

Possible frequencies: every X minutes (5 at least), every day, every week (days of your choice), every month (day of the month), only once (date and time). Daylight saving time is handled.

Another useful example: trigger Bump done › Wait 2 hours › Send a message “⏰ The bump is available again!” (Bump reminder template).

Points system

  1. Variables page › New variable: key points, scope Per member, type Number, default value 0.
  2. “Activity points” automation: trigger Message sent › Chance condition 20 % › on the Yes side: Add to a variable points, amount 1. Add a 1-minute cooldown per member in Settings to avoid spam.
  3. “/points” command: trigger Custom command points (Replies visible only to the member) › Reply: “⭐ You have {member_var.points} points, {user}!”.
  4. Reward: a Message sent automation › Variable condition points ≥ 100 › inverted Has a role Veteran condition › Give a role Veteran and Reply “🏅 100 points!”.

The Variables page shows the members' ranking (sorted values) and lets you fix or reset them.

  1. Trigger Message sent: The message… Matches the regex, text https?://|discord\.gg/.
  2. Time on the server condition › Less than 3 days.
  3. On the Yes side: Delete the message, Send a message in DM to the member, Warn (reason “Link posted by a new member”).

The bot needs Manage Messages. Members who have the Manage Messages permission can be left out of the check with an inverted Has a permission condition placed before.

Varied welcome

  1. Trigger A member joins.
  2. + › Logic tab › Random branches: 3 branches of the same weight.
  3. On each branch, a different Send a message in #welcome.

Weights set how often each branch runs: 50 / 25 / 25 gives the first one half of the time.
